As per research conducted by Milton Keynes-based Strategy Analytics, though Samsung does not have an impressive quarterly results record, it has managed to ship 27.8 million smartphones in the last quarter thus taking a giant leap in the smartphone market by 23.8 per cent. Another leading competitor in the smartphones market, Nokia lags closely behind in terms of percentage of tapping the global smartphones market when compared with Apple. Apple accounted for only 14.6 per cent whereas Nokia holds 14.4 per cent, a figure that has taken a dip for the latter when compared with its last quarter results.
