SAMSUNG TODAY has touched landmark. Samsung’s Bada-powered Wave smartphone (Samsung S8500) has managed to top one million worldwide sales in just four weeks after its release. It is a great success for Samsung and its new operating system in a smartphone market currently dominated by Apple and Android.
Although it’s far behind if compared with iPhone 4 sales that reached 1.7 million in only three days but it will not have any effect on Samsung’s happiness as it’s a great achievement in itself.

In related news, Samsung also said that is has managed to move 300,000 Galaxy S smartphones in its own backyard. The news comes only days after announcing that 200,000 units have been sold in South Korea. Considering that there are plenty of Galaxy S versions available elsewhere we expect that the Android-running superphone has at least matched (or maybe even exceeded) the Wave sales, despite being on the market for half as long.
