SANDRA BULLOCK, the Oscar winning actress surprised audiences with a performance of 'Smoke on the Water' at Tuesday night's Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery. The event was organized by Faith Hill and husband Tim McGraw (Bullock's "Blind Side" husband) to raise money for victims of the flood that hit Nashville in May.
When Sandra Bullock came on the stage, then the crazy crowd numbering about 15000, welcomed her noisily. Academy Award winner actress and one of the most newsy face of Hollywood this year, told the crowd, "So what I'm gonna do tonight…is contribute some music, and I'm gonna bring the house down. And I'm gonna do it Nashville style, ready?"
This is Sandra Bullock's second appearance in stage after she attended for MTV awards. In March this year, Sandra and her husband Jesse James was in news in media because Jesse James came under fire after Tattoo model told during an interview to a magazine that she and James had a relationship while Sandra Bullock was shooting "The Blind Side" in 2009.
Sandra revealed when McGraw approached her about participating in the benefit, she jumped at the chance to get involved. The Nashville Rising Concert had other stars who lend their support and this included Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes and Miley Cyrus. The flood benefit has raised more than $2 million for flood victims.
