Sandy storm leaves a trail of destruction in the US
While victims were having harrowing time, some hooligans, thought it apt to indulge in plundering. Incidents of theft and loot have also been reported. Many heart-wrenching stories are emanating. A woman from New York lost her two sons - aged 2 and 4 in the storm.

THE HAVOC wreaked by dreaded 'Sandy' storm across the US has rendered more than 8 million people homeless. Excruciating details are emanating. More than 100 casualities have been reported, many corporate sky scrappers, offices have been reduced to debris. Electricity and communications network have been badly affected; people are without electricity and communications network in many cities including, New York and Manhattan.

Market experts have estimated that the nature’s fury has caused the loss to the tune of around $ 55 billion. Its mere estimation, factual figures may surge.

Heart-wrenching news emanating from the U.S can leave anybody in tears. At a time when the US is grappling with nature unleashed horrible, deadly fury, world’s leading search engine, Google has come out with a doodle, Happy Halloween.

Is it justified given the terrible time the US is encountering? Should Google not express solidarity with the affected people by coming out with more sensible doodle? Well! That’s irony, for some its adversity, for others its business as usual.

Sandy descended on the US coast on Monday night, October 29. Though life is limping back to normalcy gradually, the scare and wounds left by the scary Sandy will take a long time to erase from the memories of victims.
