Sarah Palin calls Obama administration 'reality television'

It seems mocking and using vitriolic language for opponents is a worldwide phenomenon of the political class. Sarah Palin of the US seems to have stolen the thunder of Indian politicians in her recent address to her party activists.

Sarah Palin, once Republican vice presidential nominee, not only mocked the proposed ban on large sodas in New York City, but also called Barack Obama 'a liar' in her speech to party activists at Conservative Political Action Conference near Washington on March 17.

Her mocking was demonstrated by sipping on a Big Gulp during her speech that was punctuated by peppy phrases chered lustly by the audience."Barack Obama promised the most transparent administration ever. Barack Obama, you lie," said Palin calling on Republicans to stick to Party's conservative principles. reported CNN.

Making fun of Obama's proposed gun control legislation that insists on background checks for gun buyers, Palin said, "More background checks? Dandy idea, Mr. President. Should have started with yours." She even went to the extent of obliquely comparing Obama with a ‘white-collar criminal’.

Taking a dig at the ruling party, Palin said, "We don’t have leadership coming out of Washington, we have reality television.” She called on the party activists ans supporters to work for 'restoring the trust of the American people' and urged Obama to step away from the teleprompter and do his job properly.
