The credit of the art works goes to two designers who have identified themselves as ’Dexstar’ and ’Madman’. The web site’s ’administrator’ too uses his pseudonym of ’Deshmukh’. The site has made the porn fanatics crazy.
The introduction of porno comics in Indian style with a central character similar in outlook of a Bengali ’boudi’, is perhaps one of the greatest dangers posed before the young generation. Patricia Oberoi, a Delhi-based sociologist with the Centre for Studies in Developing Societies said, "the website indicates the coming of age of pornography in India as this work uses only Indian idioms." Though barely a month-old, the website already has 2,265 registered members.
By now, a fan club for SB is already formed and the fans have started sending their positive feedback on the effort. While some of them welcomed the effort and wait for an adulterous romps, others claimed that far better effort would be comics on Vatsyana’s Kamasutra.
The craze is, however, nothing unusual. The latest Durex Global Sex survey has claimed that while India has three million sex workers, of which 40-45 per cent are children, surprisingly, one in every three Indians uses pornography. Maxim, a very popular porno magazine sells 10,0000 copies per issue- half in Rohtak, Raipur. A third of the shoppers of porn in Delhi’s Palika Bazar are woman and 260 porn sites are launched everyday.
Annual consumption of on-line adult content is Rs 5,500 crore compared to Rs 2,000 crore business of Indian illicit sex. Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) claims that 80 per cent of all internet traffic and 60 per cent of the revenues are adult content and gambling related.
So far, the Indians had no option but to go for 3X sites either still or live, mostly prepared with the foreign whores or professionals. Now SB has brought in a new taste for them – a comical erotic relief.
