THE BARODA Cricket Asociation (BCA) is all set for hosting the 1st One day international cricket match between India and Australia. Heavy and stringent security arrangements have been made ahead of the first ODI which will be played at the reliance stadium between India and Australia on Sunday, October 25.
The entire Reliance stadium has been cordoned by the police and it looks like like a police camp than a cricket ground. Also the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, is expected to be there at the Stadium for the 1st ODI. Two DSP level officials and 10 Deputy SP officials would be taking care of the security arrangements. The entire stadium would be undet the surveillance of the CCTV cameras. The dog squad and the bomb detection sqaud were patrolling at regular intervals along with police officials all on the route and inside the stadium to keep a close watch on the security arrangements.As many as 850 officials have been deployed all over the stadium, which has a capacity of about 19,000 people. Around 40 technologically advanced, 360 degrees revolving CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the stadium. All the cameras would be linked to the police headquarters and a control room in the stadium.
