PEONS, BABUS, police, bureaucrats and politicians etc are corrupted, is quite understood but a teacher and that too, a school principal demanding bribe is not only strange, but very shocking indeed.

Media has reported a recent case in which the principal of the Air Force Central School, Sirsa was caught red handed by the Special CBI Cell. It’s indeed very shameful.  

The story goes like this: The Principal Mr Yoginder Kumar demanded Rs 10000 from Mr Om Pal Rathi, Director of Rathi Personal Training and Placement Agency Pvt Ltd to approve their bill for the placement of guards posted in the school premises. Mr Rathi lined up with the CBI cell that even without the knowledge of the local police trapped the principal red-handed while accepting the demanded money.

Principal Mr Yoginder is now under the judicial custody of CBI, Panchkula for 14 days while he deserves a longer jail period.

It is very shameful on the part of a principal who is supposed to preach, guide students, inculcate moral principles and that too  the children of the Defence personnel among whom we may have our future Generals, Air Marshals and Admirals .

With such teachers/ principals, we will not be able to even produce a commissioned officer in our defence services. The students from Central Schools are considered of a great caliber, courage, honesty, character and hard work. In fact they are groomed from the Kindergarten level in such schools for the defence placement only.

The Principal must be sacked and should not be granted even his pension, if due to set a good example for the academic class not to do any such indecent, unlawful and  dishonest act ever.
