An exhibition, which was held in Mughal Gardens in New Delhi on March 16 saw some scintillating innovations from people ranging from all ages. But the showstopper at the event were innovations by school going kids.
AN EXHIBITION filled with various innovations was showcased at the Innovation Exhibition in the Mughal Gardens, and was inaugurated by President Pratibha Patil on the March 16.
The exhibition was held within the Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhawan and was the second edition of the exhibition. It provided a great platform and a morale boosting initiative for around four dozen innovators showing their simple but very practical innovations.
Among these innovators, there were 10 small wonders i.e. the children who showcased their skills and abilities. Some very memorable innovations showcased ways in leading a better and comfortable life. There were crutches, which had shock absorbers installed in it, and were invented by a student of first year in fishery science of Gopalpur, Orissa. He invented it by keeping in mind the plight of polio patients. The other innovation, which will give respite to travellers is a travel bag with a folding seat attached to it. It is a great innovation because waiting at the crowded railway station or anywhere would now be easy - one can actually sit with the stand attached to it. It was developed by a girl of class 12th. These great innovations are not that big, not that extraordinary, but definitely these are the innovations that let us live our lives in a better way.
