Science genius Borah awarded with Ghanashyam Award
This year's Ghanashyam Goswami Memorial Award will awarded to the notable science genius Devojyoti Borah, who has several computer and networking books to his credit. He also writes for several news dailies
JORHAT-BASED computer scientist, writer Devojyoti Borah has been chosen for the Ghanashyam Goswami Memorial Award for 2008.The award carries a citation and Rs 10,000 in cash for notable contributions to the field of science in the state. The award is instituted by the Ghanashyam Goswami Memorial Trust in 2001.The award will be presented to Borah at a function to be held at Hatiyekhowa High School in the district of Golaghat in Assam on March 20, 2009.
Borah has 10 books to his credit, which are:
- Byaktigoto Computuror Purnanga Byabaharik Path
- DTP Operatoror Purnanga Byabaharik Hatputhi
He regularly writes in the several local newspapers, including Dainik Janambhumi, the Amar Asom, the Janambhumi (weekely), Adinor Sombad, Dainik Batori, Mahekiya Keriyar Guide, Natun Awiskar, Adhar, Samikshan, Prantik etc.
