As the scam acquires mega-proportions, all the three players were barred from the practicing session in Taunton on Tuesday.

After being pulled out all the three players were asked to report to the Scotland Yard for their second consecutive round of questioning. Even as the trio were being questioned the rest of the team was playing a friendly match against Somerset.

The team manager, Yawar Saeed in an announcement made in the team hotel said that the meeting will be attended by PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt and Pakistan's High Commissioner. In total, four players, including wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal will be put through rigorous investigations.

Meanwhile, International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat is keen to drive the anti corruption message deep into the cricketing world. Visibly disappointed, Lorgat said there are substantial measures that the Council has taken that work on a large scale. Citing many more such incidents which were brought into the Council's notice, they have been following up with them effectively.

He further added that there are a few individuals that would attempt to corrupt the sport. However, there are many players, who love the game and who play it at the highest level to the best of their ability, and I think it's for those many, many that we would ensure that those few are brought to book, he asserted.
