TAKING AN early lead, Scott Dixon ensured that he won his second year in a row IndyCar series race on Saturday. The racer led 150 laps on the Kansas Speedway, barely giving any other driver a chance to get ahead of him in the 1.5 mile oval track.
The New Zealand driver not only earned his second year in a row win, but also got his fourth consecutive win for his Chip Ganassi team. This is also his first race this season and his 23rd in his entire racing career.
Overall, Dixon has been placed on the second rung in the championship, 26 points behind leading racer this season, Will Power.
He was followed across the finish line by Dario Franchitti in the second place and Tony Kanaan in the third place. In fact, he beat Franchetti by a little more than three seconds, making it a very tight win.
