The Children's Day function at Scottish High International was held on November 14, 2011, in the school auditorium. The school, in Gurgaon's sector 57, is one of the most hi-tech in the Millennium City.
KEEPING IN context the firm belief that “Children are a quality of life…When our children are happy, then, we are better as human beings,” a grand Children’s Day function was held on this significant occasion on 14 November 2011 in the school auditorium. A cultural programme was prepared and presented by the teachers ranging from the Initial Chapter to the Senior Secondary Classes.
A Special Assembly was held to commemorate the Day in Scottish High International School, which is in sector 57 in Gurgaon. The teacher-facilitators showcased their talent in a wide spectrum of performing arts such as music, classical dance like Bharatnatyam, folk dances such as Rajasthani and Bhangra, a medley of classic songs reinterpreted with a modern twist and the much in demand contemporary dances to the tune of the latest chartbusters.
The loud cheers and spontaneous applause of the students bear testimony to their appreciation and enjoyment of the efforts put in by their mentors to make Children's Day special indeed for the Highlanders.
Chocolates were distributed to all students and fun-filled games were organized especially for their recreation. Dressed in bright and appealing attire, the students were the cynosure of all eyes on their special day.
