Needless to mention, youth of Bhaderwah, belonging to core committee of Bhadarwah Hospital Bachao Front had done spade work to this meeting by involving two religious bodies of Bhadarwah.
While addressing the gathering, the President of Anjuman Islamia, Khairat Hussain while expressing support to the Bhadarwah Bachao Front, asked the people to take active part in the ongoing struggle. “We are not demanding sky from the authorities, what we are asking is to fulfil their own promise by making the Dandi hospital a super specialty hospital, “ Mr Hussain said.
Terming the shifting of SDH from its central location a well hatched conspiracy, the Anjuman Chief asked the people to defeat such designs by accepting this as a challenge. He thanked the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for sanctioning a magnificent hospital building at Dandi appealing him to put his weight on the state administration for providing necessary staff and machinery also in the new building to make it an institution of his dreams. He warned the state authorities to take immediate steps to solve the vexed problem, before the peaceful struggle assumes a violent shape.
The President of Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Ashok Kotwal congratulated the youth of Bhaderwah and the members of Hospital Bachao Front for bringing two communities of Bhaderwah on a common platform. “The government has different perception about people of Bhaderwah, but that all Bhaderwahis are one is the real fact which the government and those at the helm of affairs must realize now,” he warned.
He also stressed upon the people to maintain the new posture of unity, so that not only the problem of hospital shifting, but other problems also are solved. “Union is strength is the mantraof success and the way shifting of Bhaderwah hospital has united us, we should remain united in other matters as well,”opined the Sanatan Dharam Sabha chief.
Meanwhile DDC Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan when contacted said that 'ongoing dharna in Bhaderwah is a futile exercise and government would not accept this demand'.
The convener of Bhadarwah Bachao Front, Ranbir Manhas said that 'our demands are in public interest'.
