Second pipe burst near Signature Tower, Gurgaon: Residents go without water for 48 hours
In another pipe burst, Gurgaon was flooded on Wednesday. HUDA's water pipe, which had a total capacity of 90mm bursted for the fourth time this summer. The incident took place within two months of the previous one near Signature Tower.
As was reported by, a leak was repaired on Tuesday near MDI right before another leak was reported the very next day. The complaint was registered early morning and the residents remained without water for two days straight.

Summers always spell water shortages and electricity cuts in Gurgaon. This time the matters are worsening and authorities are blaming the lack of manpower and infrastructure. When the above crisis struck, a number of sectors went without water. Sectors 22. 38, 39, 30, 31, 15, 16, 40, 41, 29, 44, 27, 28, 25, 26 and 43 - went without water. Private builder colonies such as DLF Phase III, IV and Sushant Lok were also affected by the pipe burst.

Talking about the pipe burst, an official said, ''The pipeline in the area near Signature Tower has been facing problems as the soil cannot hold up and has quite a few diversions due to a lot of joints. The pipe breaks when water is pumped at high pressure.'' However, the HUDA people claimed that the pipe was repaired by Tuesday morning, but the supply was restored immediately. However, the line again blew up at around 2:30 am.

An RWA member also said that they have been without water for the last 48 hours and they were prepared to think that they would not get water for the next 24 hours. The DLF authorities also made it to the place and looked at the matter.
