Second prepaid auto booth inaugurated in MG Road by Alok Mittal
To make the passengers commuting by autos more convenient in Guraon, Police Commissioner Alok Mittal inaugurated the second prepaid auto booth at MG Metro Station. This event was organized by M3M India Limited, as they are sponsoring these prepaid booths under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company Act for social welfare at all metro stations in the city.

There are a lot of autos running on the roads of Gurgaon. But passengers face a lot of problems regarding fare and the crime rates are also going high. It is posing a serious threat for the administration as well. To sort out this problem, today at 11.05am, Police Commissioner Alok Mittal inaugurated the second booth of auto prepaid.

MG Road already has an auto prepaid booth, but this is not big enough to handle the large number of the passengers who commute daily via the same route. That's why a second prepaid auto booth was installed.

Addressing the media persons, Alok Mittal said, "Auto prepaid booths are there to provide the passengers a very comfortable ride in the city. This facility will be made available at all metro stations in Gurgaon. First auto prepaid booth was installed near Huda City Center metro station where about 58000 passengers have made the use of this facility so far. Around 100 receipts are being received daily at MG auto prepaid booth which was built on June 5, 2014. We are planning the next booth at Iffcco Chowk metro station now. But first we will survey the area."

He further added that their main aim is to end the big problems such as riders jumping red light, over speeding, under age driving, land driving, drunken driving and illegal parking in the city. ''We have decided to make at least 500 challans of the offenders of traffic rules on daily basis. But we have achieved target of 400 challans daily so far. The problem of illegal parking has been almost removed in both east and west. To remove this from the entire city, our process is on.''

At this moment, the auto drivers at MG Metro Station also shared their problems. Auto driver, Arun Kumar Gupta, who hails Rajiv Nagar said, "I am driving auto here for the last two and half years. We pay Rs 5 for one round at this prepaid booth daily. This is a very good facility. Therefore it should be implemented at all metro stations. The booths must be installed at both sides of the roads. We have pay from Rs 500 to Rs 1100 as challans due to non availability of the booth on the other side.

Another auto driver Harish Chandra Tiwari, sector 18 had the same story to tell. He said, "Sometimes the passenger goes beyond the scheduled distance, we have to keep patience with the same fare. We urge the administration that along with the route distance increasing, fare must be increased."

The Police Commissioner ensured them that there will be no such kind of incident in the future. They should also corporate in implementing this policy fully in the entire city.
