Sector 55 targeted again by robbers: Valuables and cash stolen in family's absence
In another theft, in a posh locality of Malibu, Gurgaon, thieves took cash, jewelery and other valuables. Inpsite of being dotted with gated communities, Gurgaon faces many security challenges. Maybe because of the vegetation, which surrounds a number of locality, theft has become a part of life.
Sector 55 was the latest
victim in the millennium city. The entire incident happened within
matter of two hours. The family had gone to the market to shop and
when they returned after 2 hours they found the house to have been
swept clean of its valuables. By the sound of it, it seems that the
thieves were keeping a close look on the house, as coincidence seems
just too improbable.
As was reported by
timesofindia.com, the police was informed by Aneesh Puri, who went
out with his family on Saturday. When they returned to their place,
the locks were broken, 5800 cash was stolen, a gold ring and a wrist
watch was missing along with some other valuables.
Sector 55 and Sector 56
have become infamous for thefts over the last few months. What only
can be construed as some inside information being passed on to these
thieves as that is the only way one would be able to get information
regarding people out on weekend or on holiday. The societies however
protested against the lack of CCTV in these places.
RWA's and the city authorities with the
police are trying to curb theft in the region as much as possible.
