Security personal deployed in Maruti Suzuki's Palam Road plant
Two truckloads of police personnel have been deployed in Maruti Suzuki's plant located on the Old Palam Gurgaon road - following the incident of arson and violence in the Manesar plant last Wednesday. More than 100 policemen are on stand by near the plant.
AFTER THE horrendous series of incidents in Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant that resulted in the death of Avnish Kumar GM HR Manager and arson, the Haryana police, taking no chances, has deployed two truckloads of policemen in the other assembly plant of Maruti on the Old Palam Gurgaon road.
Before the incident on July 18, Maruti plants have already experienced at least three cases of major unrest in the last three years. Analysts say that the administration is right in taking precautions considering the huge amount of distrust existing between the Maruti management and workers - built over the last 2-3 years involving allegedly unmet demands.
