Seeking protection from burglars, residents of Gurgaon's Palam Vihar meet police chief
The increasing incidents of burglary have left the residents of sector 23A, Palam Vihar sleepless. Last week on Wednesday four houses became the victim of burglary. In the hope of some solution, the feared people reached to the Police Commissioner Alok Mittal, who assured them of appropriate action.
An eye opening incident also came to light when the
people disclosed a series of thefts at a stone's throw away from Palam Vihar police station. The complaining residents said that the
thieves carried out the last week's theft in the shadow of cloudy
weather and inferior street lighting. That's why they easily
managed to escape.
According to a TOI report, RWA President Malkhan
Singh Yadav told the media that two burglaries took place on June 27
and June 30. He further said that the thieves entered the houses by
taking off the grills from the windows. They were seemed to be the
professionals the way they romoned removed the grills.
With the increasing numbers of burglary incidents
happening, the residents of Sec-23A are very scared. They have
demanded police chief Alok Mittal to take some immediate action to
keep such incidents under check. They also urged him to set up a police
booth in the area, to which Alok Mittal gave his approval and
assured them of effective action.
