Separatists skew history to bid for Azad Kashmir
It is absolutely wrong on the part of those who forget historical events and build a bundle of lies to put their agenda of communal hate in place. It was India and only India which has been truly safeguarding the interests of the Kashmiris.
THE COMMUNAL politics continues in Kashmir as separatist elements continue to place facts that count Indian forces as occupation forces in the valley. They call Kashmir a disputed area between India and Pakistan and plead for an Azad Kashmir.
These people and insurgents in the area never mention Pakistan as aggressor and India as defendant, when Pakistan raided Kashmir in 1947. Till then, Kashmir was a sovereign princely state and the Maharaja had signed a standstill treaty with Pakistan. The conflict had continued till the Maharaja signed an agreement of accession with the Indian state, that Indian forces came to Kashmir.
It is absolutely shameful on the part of those, who forget these events and build a bundle of lies to put their agenda of communal hate in place. It was India and only India which has been truly safeguarding the interests of the Kashmiris. If the Kashmiris look just two to three decades back and evaluate their position, comparing it with the fate of people living in Pakistan dominated parts of the state and elsewhere, they will realise what separatists want to make of them and what India has been doing for them.
The separatist leaders who propound and plead the ideology of gun and violence are the ones who are responsible for the huge presence of armed forces in Kashmir. Armed forces are defending the masses, by laying down their lives fighting terrorists in Kashmir.
On the other, the insurgency coming from across the border, is only attempting to induce religious hatred against India in the minds of people. The root cause of trouble in Kashmir is the sponsored armed, terrorism which is being exported to Kashmir from across the border. The day this stops, Kashmir will become free again and live peacefully.
