THE COMMUNIST party of India (CPI moist) has called for a seven-day Bandh from April 24. Maoists have urged the public to support the Bandh call under Malkangiri and Koraput districts part of Dandakaranya region to make the Bandh successful.
The CPI Maoists have pasted wall posters at Motu, Padia, Kalimela, Chitrokonda, Ramgiri, Boipariguda, Narayanpatna and Bandhugaon of un-divided Koraput district. The Maoists have also pasted similar wall posters at Daringibadi in Kandhamal district of Odisha. The Naxals through the wall posters urged the people to drive out Para military forces deployed by central and state Governments and oppose the deployment of BSF, Cobra, CRPF forces under the banner "Green Hunt".
Meanwhile, the government has deployed helicopters for aerial survey to identify the naxal hideouts. The Bandh call given by the naxal and movement of the Para-military forces with sophisticated weapons is creating panic in the minds of the public particularly tribal's living inside the forests.
