Sexual harassment at Tehelka: Self-punishment is a joke; the law should take its own course
Incidents of sexual harassment at work place are not healthy for a society where men and women work together and have equal rights. The latest case of sexual harassment, which involves news magazine Tehelka's Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal, puts a question mark over the integrity of other fellow journalists as well.

We need to take steps or should we say that we need to educate ourselves, be it men or women that we need to coexist in a mixed environment and we should not look at the opposite sex as sex objects.

Was Tehelka's response on complaint against Tarun Tejpal satisfactory?

TV Channels have been debating over this issue with leading celebrities such as Author Sobha De, Senior Advocate K Tulsi, Political Leader N C Shaina and leading Newspaper Columnists and other personalities on their guest panel.

The man in dock has felt that he had committed an error or sin should we say and that had stepped down from his position of editor for six months and the girl has so far not filed any complaint with the legal agencies.

Now the debate is whether this man should be left at his own for accepting his mistake or should he be taught a lesson that he cannot be the judge for his acts of wrong doing and cannot himself regret his mistake.

The law of the land should take its course and decide the punishment.
