ESPN STAR Sports has selected king Khan as the new face for the Nokia Champions League Twenty20 marketing replacing Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador. ESPN Star Sports will spend 300 million rupees for marketing of the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 to be played in India starting September 19 to October 9, 2011. With King Khan on board, ESPN Star Sports expects to earn revenue of Rs 500 million from advertising.
All the 29 matches of tournament will be broadcasted live on STAR Cricket and STAR Cricket HD and ESPN will show 23 matches of the main tournament. CPLT20 tournament will be broadcasted in more than 174 countries and in 18 international languages across the world. Nokia will be the major sponsor this year replacing Airtel.

A new campaign starring Shah Rukh ‘Rajao Ke Beech Jung Abhi Bhi Baki Hai!’ has already been unleashed. Alongside Nokia, Toshiba, Coca Cola, Ambuja Cements, Next retail and Digiworld are the other sponsors of the tournament. Nokia have also announced the ‘Nokia Ke Asli Champions’ campaign providing the viewers an opportunity to showcase Champions in them. The campaign winners could get an opportunity to be part of Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Champion team’ and to watch the final with her.
