Shahrukh is not the first victim. Recently, former President of our country, APJ Abdul Kalam had to face this kind of humiliation for the sake of security checking.
THE DEVELOPED nations showed their true colours on the eve of Independence Day, when every Indian was busy celebrating and remembering those who had shed their blood, so that our generation would breathe in open air.
On August 15, after the ceremonial flag hoisting in India, the news of an Indian actor's humiliation became the headline of every news channel. At an American airport, when Shahrukh Khan was leaving for Chicago, he was detained by security personnel and interrogated for two hours, as if he and his bodyguard were terrorists . He was not even allowed to use his mobile phone; he was not set free until the Indian embassy contacted them about the issue and resolved the problem. Don’t you think Sharukh Khan is a global icon, so why was he treated in such a way by this developed nation?Shahrukh is not the first victim. Recently, former President of our country, APJ Abdul Kalam had to face this kind of humiliation for the sake of security checking. Before that many other cases have came forward, which show how much respect do foreign people have for the people of Asia!
Why do such things happen again and again? Why do we have to prove our capabilities and abilities in such a weird manner? I accept the truth that we are financially weak but when it comes upon industry and hard work, we are nowhere backward than any country around the world. If any foreign delegation had come to India, we would treat them as icons of their country. Whether it is Hilary Clinton , Bill Clinton or Bill Gates, we have never shown any kind of rage and welcomed them with open arms.
