SHANIYA DAVIS, the 5 year old girl who had been missing since a week has been found. Shaniya Davis body was discovered alongside a North Carolina Highway near her hometown.

Shaniya’s mother Antoinette Davis aged 25, was due in court today on charges of child prostitution and human trafficking.

Theresa Chance, Spokewoman for Fayetteville Police said that officers had been searching a portion of Interstate 87 between Harnett and Lee counties. She added that the information they had received lead them there as far as where the body of Shaniya Davis was discarded. However she said that police has been continuously receiving tips that there had been sightings of the little girl alive.

Authorities had been working around the clock trying to see that the girl is brought back safely. Everyone was quite tired and worn out. Lastly she said that this was very hard on the officers and as they have their own children, everyone thinks that what if it had been their child.

Fayetteville police had scheduled a 2:30 pm news conference at the Benhaven fire and Resue department on barbeque Church Road. Shaniya Davis's body was dumped along Walker Road, Off N.C.Highway 87.
