Shaun was born on September 3, 1988 at San Diego, California. Shaun White, aka. the Flying Tomato as a baby was born with a congeniatl heart defect called Tetralogy of fallot, in which the heart has four abnormalities. Shaun White's heart was operated twice before he was one year old. By the age of 6, Shaun began snowboarding for the 1st time on the opposite foot and competing when he was only 7 years old.
