Shawn Johnson recovers from surgery, will play in the Olympics 2012
Johnson was asked to throw out the first pitch at the Iowa Cubs game. The pitch was tough looking as it bounced its way to home plate. Her training is well under way in London for the Olympics

AFTER RECOVERING from her ACL surgery, Shawn Johnson has announced that will return to the Olympics 2012. She had been quite about her plans of returning back. While addressing a crowd of about eight thousand, she informed people about her participation and the announcement was followed by the ovation from the crowd.
 
Gymnast Shawn Johnson made the announcement at the event in Des Moines at Iowa Events Center. She is undergoing intense for her participation in the Olympics 2012. Johnson’s underwent surgery in February and her doctor had advised not to undertake any training for six months. She was on crutches for weeks but has plans to head to London plains.
 
Johnson was asked to throw out the first pitch at the Iowa Cubs game. The pitch was tough looking as it bounced its way to home plate. Her training is well under way in London for the Olympics. Johnson has won medals in Beijing in 2008, one gold on the balance beam and three silver medals and it included the individual all-round.
 
After the comeback of Johnson the other gymnasts are definitely gearing up for the games. Johnson was also in the news for her win on Dancing with the Stars in the spring of 2009.
