After a shameful incident of child sex abuse in Rohtak's Apna Ghar, which was revealed by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCRPC), another shelter in Karnal with the same name, Apna Ghar, has been closed down on charges of child abuse.
IT SEEMS Haryana state government doesn’t want to learn from previous mistakes, as again a new case of child sex abuse has surfaced in another shelter for children in Karnal.
As per IBN LIVE, a case has been registered against a lady called Monica Das who runs Apna Ghar shelter in Karnal.?The inmates - 6 boys and 5 girls – of the shelter have been shifted to other shelter homes. Their medical examination has been done and abuse marks have been founds on the bodies of two kids, and reports have been submitted to the local police.
Last year also when three girls were found facing abuse in Rohtak by NCRPCR in Apna Ghar working under the nose of administration and no actions were taken even after that. This time also it seems doubtful that administration will take any action against the culprits who are involved in this shameless act. HO Civil Lines Karnal, Gurvinder Singh said, "Children complained that the manager of the house used to beat them mercilessly and ill treat them.
