Sherlyn Chopra reproves Sherawat's words
Looks like Mallika Sherawat's recent 'repressive and depressed' remarks about India didn't go down well with drama queen Sherlyn Chopra too, and the actress has strongly slammed Mallika on Twitter. The Kamasutra actress, who always looks for two minutes of fame, just needed to disapprove of Sherawat, and that is exactly what she did.

Mallika Sherawat during her Cannes festival appearance went on to say that India is “regressive” and after experiencing artistic freedom elsewhere in the world, in India, she feels suffocated.

Sherlyn Chopra, who was also at Cannes, did not want Sherawat to take the entire spotlight. “I belong to India where I see progression and non-sexism. If there was any truth to her statement, people like me would have been out of work," Chopra tweeted.

She is not the only actress to slam Mallika Sherawat as Priyanka Chopra too fumed on Twitter against Sherawat's interview to the magazine Vanity Fair. As was reported by, Priyanka Chopra also tweeted, “When it comes to Mallika's statements, I think they were very callous and I don't agree with her. It was upsetting for me as a woman. It was upsetting for me as a girl who comes from India. I think it was extreme misrepresentation of our nation. I don't think it's fair. It was something of which I felt extremely offended by.”

Sherawat’s choice of words did not go well with many in India and she created quite a hoopla for some days with her controversial interview.
