Hurricane Sandy has been the talk all over the world. It is due to this hurricane that students from Auckland House School in Shimla, India are stranded in New Jersey, with their flights being canceled. The school authorities are praying for their students as well.

HURRICANE SANDY has led to numerous problems for the residents US, especially of New Jersey and New York primarily, as the death toll has reached around 70 - with 24 deaths in New York and 8 in New Jersey apart from other regions. It has also led to a situation of panic in Auckland House School in Shimla. Some of its students are stuck in New Jersey due to Hurricane Sandy, as some students along with a teacher had gone for a science program to National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

The school administration is in constant touch with them and have been praying for their safe return.Aashima, a student of the same school, told ANI, “We know that the girls of the school have been stuck in the Hurricane and we have been praying for them.” They were, in fact, scheduled to return on October 28 but their flight was canceled.

Anita John, the school Principal said, “Very concerned for their safety and because of their concern, the Auckland House School as a family has been praying for their safety. We want them to be well. We know they are well. But, we don't want them to panic because their flight has been delayed.” The school authorities are hopeful that their prayers are going to be answered and the students along with the teacher would be back to their school soon enough.

There is some good news for those students stranded in New Jersey, as some flights have been given the go-ahead. So, the students will soon return to India, as the school and parents are waiting to hug them tight after a memorable trip, which was made a bit scarier by Hurricane Sandy.
