The actor maintained throughout the case that he was framed and that he was clean. He was supported by his wife, Anupam, who lives abroad. This time, his co-star in his latest film Ghost, Shayali Bhagat has also alleged that the actor had made many inappropriate gestures while filming the movie. She also says that the actor misbehaved with her during the filming of the horror movie.
 
According to the article published on ndtv.com, Shayali will file a complaint against the actor and his wife at the Malad police station in Mumbai. Anupam is said to have been messaging Shayali continuously after the story was published in a magazine. The real story behind the numerous accusations would never be known but there are two possibilities. The actress is genuine and has faced some hard time on the sets and Shiney probably thought that no one will believe the budding actress's claims and think that she is looking for publicity. On the other hand, the actress might be not speaking the truth and since Shiney was involved in such a case previously she thought that might be able to get away with it and also make some name in the process. After all, all publicity is good publicity in show business.
