ENERGY MEANS the power we have inside our body which inspires us to create vibrations on earth. This power or element is ‘Shiva’. ‘Shiva’ is the element that generated the earth’s energy and operates all of us. But he is also a destroyer. When the sins of the world increase, he starts the dance of ‘Tandava’. This dance is the sign of destruction. The ‘mahamrityinjaya jap’ is a ‘mantra’ related to Lord Shiva.
It can be sung in ‘brahma muhurta’ with accurate pronunciation. It gives us prosperity and peace. The main objective to sing this ‘jap’ is that, through this ‘mantra’, anyone’s life can be saved, who is in trouble. The ‘mantra’ is, “Om ! tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam, urvaru kamivabandhna mritormokshiya mamritat”
Lord Shiva wears all that which is neglected by the people. He lives in graveyard "samashana" and wears leather and uses a snake as a necklace. When someone is in trouble, Shiva takes him in his hand and solves all problems. Then, he returns him to his normal condition. This means that he takes all the responsibilities of our problems and gives us peace and happiness. Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram are related to each other.
The devotee who prays to Lord Shiva, does actually pray to the above thrice elements. The prayer of Lord Shiva is the spiritual way of life and one can easily be free from his sins and it is not necessary for him to be born again. Shiva is the energy and the spirit of life.
.I am not upset. Afterall, I have learnt a lot from your article and your patient replies to my queries. I must thank you for all that. I must apologise of my queries have upset you in any way. But trust me friend, they are all genuine queries. Not to bother you or irritate you. Thanks a lot.
.You sound offended. But the reason I asked is that the Gayathri Mantra is recommended to be chanted 108 times. They say it has a good effect that way. For every mantra, they say a certain No. of times to be chanted for the bext effect. Hope you got it.
I think, any mantra should be repeated 108 times.
How can I begin to say Im sorry.
I didnt mean to upset you.
I hope that you can forgive me. Im sorry.
Hay! It is an activity for you. Take a bowl and start the mantra. Then, put a peanut in a bowl after the completion of the mantra. Do it again and again till sunrise. Definitely, you will count how many times you chanted the mantra.
Isn't it childish?
.Thanks a lot for your patient and considered reply. It is wonderful to know more about our ancient spiritual sciences which we Indians disregard and disrespect until and unless the west tells us, "Hey, Indian spiritual practices are wonderful! We now plan to make a patent of it". That is when we Indians suddenly realise the importance and worth of Indian culture. Until then, we get totally mesmerised with concepts of the west like rational thinking, and scientific temper. Yoga for example was considered irrational and unscientific until the west saw it and brought it back to life. What do you say about this entire thing?
Thanks to you for taking interest in my first article. I praise your comment on spiritual thoughts.
Yes, That's true that we Indians have forgotten our glorious past. What to say, I have no words. Because you have said very properly.
I liked your questions. A lack of information can be seen in my article. sorry for that.
