Shocking! Passenger finds 'lizard' in veg biryani served by Indian Railways
A shocking and disgusting incident has proved that the recent report of CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) over the meals being served by Indian Railways is true as a passenger found a dead 'lizard' in his meal onboard the Poorva Express (Howrah-Delhi route) on Tuesday.

The passenger complained to the Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in which he tweeted about the incident. In his Twitter complaint, he wrote, "The passenger ate the Biryani and is now feeling unwell," as per media reports.

Shortly after this, the Railways Minister ordered the concerned authorities to take immediate action in this matter.

Speaking to media, Kishore Kumar, a senior railway officer at Mughalsarai, said the biggest concern was the passenger's health.

A day after this incident, the Indian Railways confirmed that a strict had been taken in the matter and also assured that the concerned department had instantly responded to it.

Railway Spokesperson Anil Saxena, while speaking to ANI said, "This incident took place yesterday in12303 Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express. The passenger, who ordered a vegetarian biryani found the reptile after consuming a few bites from the parcel. Right after that, he and his co-passenger tweeted on the Railway's Twitter handle explaining about the issue. Our team instantly responded and asked for details and also assured that his medical treatment will be looked into. He had also thanked us through a tweet. We will take action to improve as per the observations in CAG report."

This is not a first time when people have complained to Indian Railways over its inferior quality of food while travelling on trains. These complaints also raise many questions over the poor quality of food that compromises with passengers' health.
