Excerpts:
Ramesh: Do you have any complaint against the federation regarding the CWG?
Anisa: No, not at all. It was out-an-out a very good effort by India. All players were quite happy the way things shaped up.
Ramesh: Now as the Asian Games 2010 is just around the corner, how are you preparing for it?
Anisa: We are technically geared-up for the upcoming mega-event. Though it would be a bit difficult to play on the foreign turf unlike our home ambience, we’ll try our best to bring more medals than the CWG.
Ramesh: Whom would you like to dedicate your twin gold medals?
Anisa: India, and undoubtedly my husband. He played an immense role in shaping up my crucial preparations just ahead of the games by getting procured an updated pistol for me. My achievements happened because of his incessant encouragement and support.
Ramesh: Our shooters really played a pivotal role in adding medals to the overall tally. What are your expectations from the Asiad?
Anisa: Our infrastructure is not up-to-the-mark even though our players practiced very hard one way or the other to bag honour for the nation. Needless to add, we certainly got benefit of the home crowd, cheering up every now and then. We expect to perform even better and fetch more and more medals from the Asiad.
Ramesh: How do you look at Delhi, which braving all negative controversies emerged out to be a successful CWG host? Voices are even coming out that India is capable enough to organize the Olympics?
Anisa: No doubt, India surprised the entire world and convinced them that we can do anything. All the stadiums as well as the Games Village are world-class. Though there is a vast difference between the CWG and Olympics, if all goes well India can certainly bid for the Olympics, We’ll show our sporting power to a greater level if that happens.
