Should we pray or fast for our country and global peace?
We normally hear in the media and even read about people who go on weekly and even longer fasts with an intention of fulfilling their personal wishes. I ask people - can we fast once a month for our nation's peace?

I READ a lot about people who are very happy that their wishes have been fulfilled and their disputes have been resolved with the grace of the God. I am also a spiritual person but sometimes one thing comes in my mind. Today, with terrorism as a big challenge, we can try to make some effort from our side.

Like I commonly see that when rain is not sufficient in monsoon people do Havan, etc., to make God happy. Likewise, it's my opinion that people should do at least one fast a month for global and the nation's peace. I am a spiritual person and I think that if we do a fast with belief in God we can achieve anything.

This way I want to convey to every citizen of India that they should add 1 day in addition to their own schedule of fasts. I am very much concerned when I hear about bomb blasts, etc. Though in a scientific era of today people don't believe in miracles. But even I am positive for the fact that there is someone who is controlling nature. It's my question to everybody - if you can do 14-15 days fast for your own wishes, why not fast once a month for the nation. Think about it and decide.
