Shri Ram Sena Jammu- Kashmir has sensed suspicion over the secret deal between CAPD department and J&K Bank in issuing the ration card books to CAPD consumers in the state.
Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan while addressing media persons here Wednesday said that the cover page of ration card books printed with the logo of J&K Bank and a note “Sponsored by J&K Bank”, looks suspicious and indicates “nexus between CAPD department and J&K Bank amassing money through illegal means”.
Mahajan raised the question, if the ration card books are sponsored by J&K Bank, then why the CAPD department is charging Rs 50 for each ration card book from the consumers? He said there is something fishy going on between CAPD and the J&K Bank. He demanded a clarification from the both, the CAPD as well as J&K Bank authorities. Mahajan appealed the minister for CAPD and Transport Ch. Mohammad Ramzan to personally look into the matter and issue public statement in this regard to clear doubts from the minds of the people.
Mahajan further said that the formalities demanded by the CAPD department to issue new ration cards to consumers like submitting electricity bills, telephone bills, Voter I-cards etc be repealed and the same be issued as per previous practice.
