SHRI RAM Sena demanded a judicial probe into multi-crore land encroachment scandal of Hindu temples and shrines in Jammu and Kashmir and demanded establishment of a Temple Shrine Board for undertaking affairs of all temples and shrines of Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir state.
According to a press release, Shri Ram Sena senior members under the leadership of state president Rajiv Mahajan made extensive tour of Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed the condition of Hindu temples and shrines throughout the state. Rajiv Mahajan and his team noticed that the condition of temples and shrines in Kashmir Valley are in worst condition and needs immediate attention.

Mahajan said that in Valley land and other property attached with temples are either sold by unscrupulous persons or encroached by some influential locals. He demanded a probe into these land encroachments. Mahajan further said that condition of temples in Jammu division is also not good. He said after having visited the temples of far flung area Mansar, Mantalai, Sudhmahadev and other hilly areas, they observed that condition of temples is in dilapidated condition. It has also been known that in Jammu division also the land of temples have been sold unabatedly by some unscrupulous persons and temple organization for their personal petty interests. Mahajan demanded a probe in these unlawful activities of persons who are responsible for misusing the community property.
Shri Ram Sena has come to the conclusion that a Shrine Board of all temples and shrines is the need of hour and passage of temples and shrines bill in state legislative assembly is must to handover the control of temples and shrines from unscrupulous elements and trusts who have made these places of worship as their money minting machines. Mahajan further added that temples and shrines bill will cover all the temples of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Rajiv Mahajan has extended his party's full support to APMCC for fighting the cause of Kashmiri Hindus. He said APMCC is the only organization which is working at ground level in Valley to look after the temples and shrines there. He further added that Shri Ram Sena will also join the indefinite hunger strike call given by APMCC w.e.f. October 7 in support of their demands.
