Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan while addressing media persons here today said that the performance report released by Omar Abdullah to highlight achievements of his 3 years of governance was only a publicity drama and nothing else. He said that National Conference- Congress coalition government has proved a total failure on all fronts relating to Jammu division issues. Mahajan said Omar Abdullah might have made achievements in Kashmir division, but as far as Jammu division is concerned, there is no achievement visible in real sense on the ground.Mahajan said that Kud to Patnitop cable car project foundation stone was laid some 4 years ago by the then chief minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, but after he relinquished the office, project has been kept in the cold storage. Same is the fate of Mubarak Mandi to Bagh-e Bahu cable car project which is sucking dust in state government office.
Mahajan also took strong notice of pitiable condition of Tehsil headquarters of Jammu division. He said that the most important and largely public visiting places like Tehsil headquarters of Jammu division lack communication facilities, as the landline phones of most of the offices are dysfunctional on account of non-payment of rentals. No fly-over or any other major development is seen in Jammu division, said Mahajan.Mahajan maintained that public will only consider the state government's achievements, when there will be a real development visible on the ground instead of a mere paperwork. Those who were present in the press conference included Rajinder Gupta (General Secretary), Ajay Gupta (Sr. Vice President), Bal Krishan Arora (Secretary), Pawan Choudhary (Vice President), Raghvir Krishan Gupta (Organiser), Shiv Kumar Sharma (City Vice President), Anil Chopra (Industries President), Vijay Gupta (Press Secretary), Parul Gupta (Youth President), and others.
