Shri Ram Sena flays suffixing 'Saheb' to Afzal Guru's name by Omar Abdullah
Shri Ram Sena Jammu-Kashmir has strongly condemned using the suffix 'Saheb' by ruling party National Conference with the name of Afzal Guru who was executed and buried inside Delhi's Tihar jail for his role in Parliament attack. It has also criticized the Congress party which is an alliance partner in the state government for maintaining silence over the issue.

Shri Ram Sena State President, Rajiv Mahajan while addressing media persons here Wednesday said the address of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the other day in the state assembly suffixing ‘Saheb’ to Guru’s name  in the house has raised eye brows of all “nationalist forces” including Shri Ram Sena.

Mahajan said these all gimmicks are used to earn sympathies of separatists, keeping in view the forthcoming assembly elections as well local body elections.

Mahajan also expressed serious concern over cryptic silence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on killing of two J&K Police Jawans who were attacked by militants at Handwara while discharging their duties. Mahajan said neither Chief Minister nor any cabinet minister visited the families of dead police jawans who lost their lives in a militant attack.

He said this is height of injustice and biased treatment to devoted law abiding persons in uniform. Mahajan alleged whereas Chief Minister has enough time to shed tears for the Kashmiri student who was killed allegedly in army firing, but has no time to pay tributes to the martyrs of law abiding police force.

He said not only Jammu region but also Ladakh region is also being discriminated by Valley rulers since independence.  Now, only solution left to end this discrimination once for all is making Jammu a separate state, Ladakh be given a Union Territory status and Kashmir also a separate state status, so that no region feels isolated, discriminated and neglected.

“This will have multiple benefits as whatever the grants, beneficiary schemes received from Union Government would flow direct to all the three regions and thereafter equal distribution under their respective ends is ensured,” said Mahajan.
