On the eve of Janmashtami, Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Jammu Kashmir organized a quiz competition on religious knowledge of Vedic Dharam (Hinduism) and its philosophy at Luthra Academy Talab Tillo in Jammu yesterday.
Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan informed that organizing such quiz is a step forward to imbibe the religious knowledge in the minds of youngsters. He said the young generation of today is deficient of religious knowledge and SRS is making its bit to acquaint the youngsters with the philosophy of the Vedic Dharam (Hinduism).
In this connection, SRS has been organizing quiz competitions and debates in different schools and religious places on different occasions in Jammu, he said adding that today's quiz competition is the part of the same ongoing programme of Shri Ram Sena. About 200 children in the age group of 5- 15 years took part in the competition where religion related questions were put to the children. School children also performed cultural programmes. Prizes were given to the participating students who gave correct answers to the questions. MK Bangroo former Bureau Chief, Press Trust of India, Bal Krishna Arora, Secretary Shri Ram Sena, Managing Director Sanjeev Luthra, Luthra Group of Institutions and staff of the school were present on the occasion.
