Shri Ram Sena says police arrested innocents during Kishtwar incident; demands immediate release
After holding an emergency meeting Shri Ram Sena's Jammu arm claimed that the police has also arrested innocents in the wake of Kishtwar violence and demanded their immediate release.

Party's state president Rajiv Mahajan has given an ultimatum of three days to the state government, after that the party has decided to launch a country wide agitation from Monday, if demands are not met.

The party has accused separatist elements of creating tension and generating fear psychosis in the state during the holy Amarnath and Machail Mata yatra every year. The party claimed that the separatists are demanding to disband Village Defence Committee (VDC) members because they are mostly from a particular community protecting the Hindus residing in far flung areas from the nefarious designs of separatists and the militants.

The Sena demanded strengthening of VDCs with sophisticated weapons and communication system to maintain peace and people's confidence in the remote areas. It also demanded that a retired Supreme Court Judge should do the inquiry of the Kishtwar incident.

Sena demanded that every VDC member of Doda, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar be confirmed. It also demanded handing over of Kishtwar , Doda and Bhaderwah to CRPF or Army accusing the J&K Police of failing to protect the lives and properties of minority community in these areas.

The Sena's state president also accused the members of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and the Retail Federation Jammu for selling out the interests of Kishtwar's affected people and termed them as the well wishers of the state government. Mahajan claimed that the J&K government called only those civil society members to negotiate who were either from the National Conference or from the Congress.

Others present in the meeting were Ajay Gupta (Senior Vice President), Bal Krishan Arora (Secretary), Pawan Choudhary (Vice President), Shiv Kumar Sharma (City Vice President), Vijay Gupta (Press Secretary), Vijayant Pathania, Pawan Verma, Yogesh Mangotra, S. C Singh, Naveen Raina, Deepak Salathia and others.
