Shri Ram Sena warns youth against Valentine's Day celebrations
Shri Ram Sena Jammu- Kashmir has bitterly opposed the celebration of Valentine's Day as it is 'against' the ethics and culture of Jammu and Kashmir people and a step towards inclination and adoption of Western culture.
Shri Ram Sena state president, Rajiv Mahajan has appealed to parents to keep their children away from the grips of Western culture, otherwise their own culture will diminish within no time and western culture will prevail.
Mahajan said that Shri Ram Sena would not allow any vulgarity in their holy land of temples and shrines. He warned the public that Shri Ram Sena activists would be keeping a strict watch on hotels, restaurants, parks, theaters and gift shops, and anybody found indulging in “vulgarity” would not be spared.
Mahajan appealed to youth to celebrate 14th February as “Mata-Pita Pujan day” instead of Valentine Day. He said the recent heinous Delhi gang rape is an eye opener which most probably seems to be a result of the influence of Western culture.
