Sikh Students Federation burns Baba Ram Dev’s effigy for hurting Sikh sentiments
Beleaguered Yoga Guru Baba Ram Dev is already caught in the web of controversies for his anti-dalit remark and now landed in another controversy on the charge of allegedly hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs.

There is great resentment among the Sikh community over a photograph that has gone viral in the past few days showing Ramdev sitting on the stage, with a picture of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru, kept near his feet during the camp.

Today in Ferozepur, the members of Sikh Students Federation Mehta gathered at Makhu Gate and shouted slogans against Baba Ram Dev demanding action against him and later on burned his effigy.

Expressing their concern, Bhai Jaspal Singh, Udeek Singh Kunde, Bhagwan Singh Dariala, Sukhdev Singh Lada, Manjit Singh Aulakh and others said, “Baba Ram Dev himself is sitting over a decorated chair whereas the photograph Guru Gobind Singh has been kept in his feet which by virtue of decorum, dignity, principle, respect and honour point of view, should be, above the normal man.”

It is pertinent to mention that this is second FIR against the Yoga Guru in last ten days. On May 3, an FIR was registered against him in Jodhpur after Ramdev's controversial remark that, "Rahul goes to Dalits' houses for honeymoon and picnic. Even BSP candidate from the Hoshiarpur parliamentary constituency and party’s Jammu & Kashmir in charge Bhagwant Singh has declared a reward of Rs.1 crore for beheading yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

Slamming of Baba Ram Dev, for showing disrespect by placing the phogotraph of Guru Gobind Singh near his feet, which has hurt the sentiments of the Sikhs, the entire Sikh community have demanded an apology from Baba Ramdev and in the event of his failure, the Sikh community would never forgive him.
