Sikhs being targeted by anti-social elements in Kashmir Valley
On Thursday (July 28), one Mithunpal Singh, while on his way to accomplish his duty as a labour contractor (GREF) was specifically targeted and brutally beaten by some anti social elements from majority community at Malangpura (Tral).
IN CONTINUATION of the recent targeting of Sikh community in Kashmir Valley, on Thursday (July 28), one Mithunpal Singh, while on his way to accomplish his duty as a labour contractor (GREF) was specifically targeted and brutally beaten by some anti-social elements from majority community at Malangpura (Tral). He was forcibly told to recite anti-Indian slogans and certain religious phrases, which he refused. Angry with his refusal, the anti-social elements then scissored (cut) his sacred hair.

To refresh memories, recent incident happened in the village of Gadapura, Tral, where the act was forgiven because of heartfelt regret (sorry) expressed by heads of majority community. Few weeks back also a shop owned by a Sikh in Baramulla was significantly targeted and put on fire causing financial losses to the owner.

More recently anti-Sikh community acts have happened in Kashmir Valley which seem to be planned by certain anti social elements.

Deshmesh Youth Organisation has strongly condemned these acts and urged all the local/national/religious parties to stand against these anti-social elements without politicising these unfortunate events.

And if they don’t act now, it will be understood that they are in hand-in-gloves with these anti social elements and are responsible for these acts, to force sikh community to migrate from Kashmir Valley.
