Sixteenth International Children Film Festival opens
A total 70 pictures will be screened during week long celebrations. The dreams of Jawaharlal Nehru would come to true with this film festival said Ambica Soni the Union Information Minister.

THE WEEK long Sixteenth International Children film festival extravaganza has been opened in an extraordinary way amidst of national and International actors besides politicians in Hyderabad on Saturday Nov 14. As a mark of inauguration the Chief Minister Rosaiah fllew off the musket ‘Golden Elephant’ into sky.
 
Telugu film maker, former minister of state Dr Dasari Narayana Rao has alleged that the Telugu film personalities were being treated as second class by Central Government in awarding Dadasaheb and Padma awards.   He said that Telugu artists are second to none and the first children movie was also produced in Telugu only, 61 years ago. In spite of that credit always go to Hindi film industry, he deplores.

The chairperson of the Children film society Nandita Das and famous Director Gulzar festival director Susovan Benerjee attended the inaugural function. Nandita Das has also anounced the Jury team on this occassion.
