Skewed media reporting
Current reports in English media on corruption smack of partisan and manufactured reporting. There needs to be better media coverage to ensure that sensible debate takes place.

THE NATION is, at present seized with corruption in high places. But its reporting by English media seem to be heavily affected by its ideologoical leanings. Examples:

The government is censured but the opposition parties go scot free. Didn't they stall parliament proceedings for days together? After all, the government went by the book in such a sensitive matter. Did the media point out that debate about new Bills can't really take place on streets, and that the government needs to follow procedures laid down in these matters? Absolutely not.

Yeddy is rightly pursued doggedly for corruption of 100 odd crores but corruption of few thousand crores of rupees by YSR and sons is not pursued with equal zeal.

S Hegde is rightly feted for a thorough probe into corruption during the period 2006 to 2011 but wrongly let off for not cvering the period 2000 to 2006.

Yeddy is held guilty of recieving 10 crores of rupees from Jindals of Congress but Jindals are allowed to go scot free.

Yeddy is rightly held guilty of releasing a two acre plot which is then sold cheap to his sons who sell it with huge profits but Sonia and Childern are not questioned on release of land at throwaway prices to their trust by Haryana Congress government.

If these are not double standards! What will be??
