Skill trainings in Rajasthan helping youth to gainfully employment: CM Vasundhara Raje
Speaking at an event at Government College in Jhalawar, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on December 16 said that her government was committed to linking education with skill development.

According to her, the training programmes at the Industrial Training Institutes ( ITIs) in the state are  helping youths in gainfully employment. She urged the college students to achieve success to make everyone feel proud of them.

One may recall that Rajasthan was the first State in India to establish the Rajasthan Mission on Livelihoods (RMoL), in September 2004, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister in order to address the challenges of unemployment and ensuring gainful and sustainable employment.

The objective of RMoL is to formulate appropriate and innovative strategies to promote and facilitate large scale livelihoods for the poor and vulnerable people. However, many of skill development courses were not received well due to the lack of experts in skill training.

The state government has set up the Rajasthan Skill & Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC) to implement the short-term skill training programmes such as Employment Linked Skill Training Programme (ELSTP); Regular Skill Training Programme (RSTP); Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY); Skill Development Initiative Scheme (SDIS); and Special Projects which are needs-based.
