Known for their discerning and enigmatic prints in contemporary saris, Satya Paul has always been a name synonymous with the 'unconventional'. For pre-fall, there is a new story. It's baptised as 'Maya'. Designer Puneet Nanda interprets 'the love for money' in a more wearable way and suggests it as the look of the season. Puneet Nanda for Satya Paul has been a successful association so far and with this one, Puneet hopes to touch new sales figures! "Maya is kaleidoscopic colour! It is my interpretation of contemporary fashion courting glamour and fantasy in the form of colourful patterns on saris and garments", explained the young and vibrant designer. Puneet is primarily a self-taught artist whose understanding spans multiple genres; from art to music to design.

Talking about the fabrics and techniques used, Puneet enlisted, "I take every theme as an unusual experiment and experience. Maya is just the perfect combination of appealing textures and design elements. The fabrics used are satin in burnout effect, premium georgettes and crepes, jacquard and like. We have also employed digital printing." An experimental flair, use of myriad colours and patterns make up Maya. Ornamental designs, layers, shadows and contrasting elements render Maya a bold graphic look.
