Smartphone speed test: iPhone 5 slowest, Samsung S4 fastest
Samsung Galaxy S4 is the fastest smartphone in the world if the results of the industry recognised test are to be believed. What is more surprising is the revelation that one of the most talked about phones in the market, iPhone 5 was found to be the slowest among the smartphones tested.

Samsung Galaxy S4, iPhone 5, HTC One, Sony's Xperia Z, Google's Nexus 4, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 and BlackBerry Z10 underwent the test. They were put through a series of benchmark tests in order to measure processor and memory performance, which could help understand how quickly the phone would allow photo editing, running graphic-intensive games, and using several apps at once, reported The Telegraph.

After the tests were conducted, it was understood that Samsung Galaxy S4 was the fastest with a combined score of 3188 as compared to iPhone 5, which scored an unimpressive 1664. The second fastest phone was HTC One, which includes a quad-core 1.7-inch processor and 2GB RAM compared to S4 with 1.9GHz quad-core processor. Xperia Z, Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and BlackBerry came in third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

This test might play an important role in helping consumers understand as to which phone they should buy, if they are looking for faster smartphones.
