JERSEY SHORE’S star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was booed heavily by a crowd of 20,000 people as she appeared on Philadelphia television Friday.
She was making an appearance at the Wing Bowl, an annual event in the city of Brotherly Love. The MTV star took the floor at the Wachovia Center and appeared on the big screen, the crowd of more than 20,000 fans unleashed a barrage of nasty boos on her.
The crowd also momentarily stopped booing when Snooki road a mechanical bull as part of the event.
According to people at the Wing Bowl, Snooki reacted with a Jersey-style hand salute. Several fans interviewed by Frederick said they resented Polizzi’s presence at the event. Polizzi is reportedly getting $10,000 at the event in Philadelphia.
When her image appeared on a big screen, they began booing loudly, according to local newspaper reports.
Despite the harsh reaction, she kept on fist-pumping.
Later, while being interviewed by a local TV station, she was asked how she felt about the booing incident. She said, "It's Philadelphia!" and gave the camera the middle finger.
